Heres some pics of the last few weeks. I got a crappy job now so I dont have as much time to bugger around but we do ride our bikes and booze it in the weekends.
Some bikes Ive seen around town lately.

This was a carnival I cant remember what for. We got there late cause we just wanted to see the fireworks, but i saw these weird bikes which were pritty cool.

This is an exhibition accompanying the bike film festival that we went to.

you need real long arms for this one.

This is the bike polo championship. We got there too late and missed the trick comp. they had a game of "fixie" which is like "skate" or "donkey" where one person does a trick and everyone else has to copy it and if you dont land it you get a letter, once you got all the letters ie f,i,x,i,e your out. might be something on you tube Ill have a look.

this dude must be 20ft tall?

some really nice bikes!

custom bike polo bikes.

I dunno about this? I guess he bought a vacuum cleaner on the way there?

this guy was good.
Thats all for now, Ill post some pics of some drawings Ive been doing for a guy I meet riding, hes trying to start a fixed gear related clothing label.
Also Ashas Mexican Halloween Birthday party is coming up so I post some pics from that.

Skullduggery from artist Subodh Gupta

Well, here's some more fruit from my increasingly intrepid internet nerdery. Click the image to see what the fuck this is all about. I've almost finished school and it's summer, so watch this space for details about the up coming Skull-Qaeda Red Rum Ride - grab your spades.

Reaper Skull Stem

Check out this stem!
The bolts for clamping the handlebar are in the eye sockets of the skull.
It's made by some company called Dirty Dog and it's called the Reaper Stem.
Rad.

These are just some weird videos from John Zorn and Moonchild. The first one freaks me out every time I watch it. I gotta get some of this music.

Had a really strange time drinking martinis and arguing and singing revolutionary songs with some hard-core Marxists and Socialists last night. Leila Harre, Mat McCarten and Chris Trotter were there (you'll know if you follow politics in NZ - something most NZers don't seem to do (holiday in Burma anyone?)) and also this dude Joe Carolan.

Joe is a Solidarity Union guy who organises a lot of protests. We drank heaps and sang songs we pretended to know the words to. After a while Joe said we should go to this anarchist punk gig just down the road. Being Irish Joe goes insane when he drinks. The dude was just walking into on coming traffic. Cars were braking, skidding, tooting - how he didn't get hit, I'll never know. The gig cost $10, which we weren't going to pay, but Joe just threatened them till they let him in.

Brazil cafe has closed

Yep. It's gone. Has-bean. Get it: "has b.e.a.n", instead of been. Ha! I kill me!

I'm actually real bummed out about it -I really liked that place.

No one makes proper coffee except Brazil. Their coffee makes everything else taste like dishwater.

They were also the most bike friendly cafe in Auckland. It wasn't a poncy fuck face place like other cafes. I think it was the vagrantyness of the place.

It took it's style cues from this choice 80s movie by ex-Monty Pyhton animation genius Terry Gilliam, which is rad.

Here's a crap story by the NZHerald on Brazil closing. They scooped me by being a daily paper. The paper I'm writing for only comes out bi-weekly - but I had the story before them goddammit! Here's a blog entry about Brazil closing I did for school.
