Gloria's Loves Fixed Gear London!

The boys and girls over at LFG had a little do the other night at Gloria's to launch some limited edition T's and show a few photos. We went along to cheek it out, enjoy the free beer and have a good old fashioned bike perv.

I didn't take many photos but check them out here. So many sweet bikes and just about all of them fixed. Shits crazy here.

Winter Playground

Mark & I have been trying to keep the SBC spirit alive during the last few months but when its cold and dark motivation can be hard to find. So what better way to wash away the winter chills than drinking whiskey on the moon.

One of the nights was super frosty so we couldn't ride much but we still managed to cross the rope bridge and scale the castle.

Sheldon Brown RIP July 14, 1944 - February 3, 2008

Sheldon Brown was a bit like the guru on the mountain top: You'd struggle away trying figure out how to do something yourself before inevitably giving up and going to his site for some cyclical wisdom.



Sheldon encapsulated everything that was good about bicycles. His generosity has made sure future generations of cyclists will be able to do complicated bike stuff, like make geared fixies, without going insane. Don't forget to pour one out for lost homies tonight.

...so check out Mike Giant's blog on his trip to Bologna. What an amazing place. For a naive wide-eyed boy like me, hailing from a backwater colony like New Zealand, everyday in a place like that would be seriously brain searing. He says next time he'll have his bike. Fuck yeah, I don't know how you'd get on without one. Whoa, it's not raining anymore, but the streets still look wet and slippery as. Might have to put away my bmx and pull out the fixie.
