Dead Horse & Skulls (39 Fly Photos By NJC)
Last Friday night (the 15th) we met outside the new sideroom.com gallery on New North Rd for a few free beers and a little art. Mark Skulls had a few pieces in the show, one of which was sold even before we turned up a little fashionably late. Inside was packed to the brim so we overflowed out on to the street. Once we ran dry more beer was gathered and we headed down the road (about 400m) to Ace Place.
Brian traveled into the future and beat us all there. This is where the session got into full swing. We had the ghetto blaster hissing and booming. I had made a mix but in the rush out of the house forgot to load it onto my player and Justin’s was flat. Thankfully Mark had some tunes for us all.
We lay down some skids, popped some airs and busted some tricks. There were a few spill, but only egos bruised, paint scratched, and I think one broken axel.
We all got too cold to stay in one spot so we rode to Kowhai Intermediate for an epic footdown/keep warm battle.
